Martial Arts Accessories - Get Out There and Start Training Martial arts accessories include karate and judo uniforms. We describe karate and taekwondo sparring gear. We hope that these martial arts accessories make training more fun. Martial arts accessories come in many shapes and sizes. We will describe many items, including the following: karate uniforms; judo uniforms; karate sparring gear; taekwondo sparring gear; training equipment; weapons; knee pads; and, karate books. We had fun looking at these martial arts accessories. We hope that this information makes choosing the best gear easier. We begin by describing the two main types of uniforms (or Gis). Karate Gis are essential martial arts accessories. Karate Gis are divided into three categories, light weight, medium weight, and heavy weight. We describe several Gis from each category. Judo Gis are essential martial arts accessories. Judo Gis have their own special requirements. They come in two categories, single weave and double weave. We describe several Gis from each category. We describe several types of sparring gear. Sparring gear protects us and makes training more fun. Karate sparring gear is essential martial arts accessories. We look at the most popular types of gear, including headgear, gloves, and boots. Most of this gear is made of light weight foam, also known as “durable vinyl dipped foam.” Martial arts accessories include taekwondo sparring gear. Taekwondo requires its own special gear, including the following: chest protectors; shin protectors; instep protectors; and, forearm protectors. Most of this taekwondo gear is made of dense foam. Weapons are essential martial arts accessories. We begin by looking at bokken and jo. We want to discuss why training with weapons is important. We found some amazing karate training gear. Targets and shields are fun martial arts accessories. Karate shields in particular are remarkable. The person holding the shield is protected. The attacker can relax and practice their strikes. Karate books and videos are essential martial arts accessories. We found some great karate books, written by Bruce Everett Miller. He has some interesting things to say about punching, kicking, and breathing.
